Self-Esteem and Advocacy Services
Speaking up for yourself can be difficult, but it can be particularly challenging for Autistic children and teenagers. Research has shown that an individual’s self-esteem strongly influences his or her interpersonal relationships, behaviour, and learning.
At APlayC we work closely with school-aged/teen clients to build their self-confidence and self-esteem by using strengths-based therapy approaches.
We can also work closely with your allied health team to also support your child/teenager to feel regulated and ready to engage with others.
We offer individual therapy sessions, groups and workshops for allied health professionals, individual families and disability agencies.
